As Heifer’s work continues to evolve, they have made the decision to retire the Read to Feed program. But before we say goodbye, there’s a lot to celebrate!
Since the GFWC Read to Feed challenge began in July 2024, 82 readers have logged 985,770 minutes of reading and earned 2,397 badges! Heifer is incredibly grateful to the GFWC members and their communities who have been part of the program and made every minute count.
The GFWC Read to Feed Challenge will continue through December 31, 2026. Members can keep reading and logging their minutes — and new readers can still join! With GFWC already closing in on 1 MILLION minutes read, there’s still time to reach one more incredible milestone before the challenge comes to an end!
While Read to Feed is ending, GFWC’s longstanding relationship with Heifer isn’t. GFWC members have supported Heifer for more than 50 years, with the official partnership dating back to 2014. As this chapter comes to a close, the Heifer team is exploring new ways for GFWC members to continue supporting farming families around the world. Stay tuned for more!
