Support the GFWC Mission

ANNUAL GIVING FUNDS

GFWC Designated Funds support the work of GFWC by providing essential funding in targeted areas. They are vital to continue GFWC’s mission of strengthening our communities and enhancing the lives of others.

Annual Giving Fund

The Annual Giving Fund Unrestricted is a giving fund that is not designated towards any specific program or purpose allowing the donations to be used to address the GFWC programmatic, repair/restoration, or other area most in need at the time as determined by GFWC Officers.

Women's History and Resource Center

Founded in 1984, the Women's History and Resource Center collects, preserves, interprets, and promotes the history of the GFWC and women volunteers. Funds donated to the WHRC are used to purchase preservation supplies, collections management technology, and books for the WHRC research library. In addition, WHRC donations support outreach activities directed toward students, teachers, and others.

Endowment Fund

The GFWC Endowment Fund was started in 1910 to ensure a firm financial foundation and provide for the future needs of GFWC. Contributions to this fund are permanently restricted, but income earned on the fund is unrestricted and can been used to support program, advocacy, and outreach efforts, and overall membership development activities.

Gifts to Headquarters

Donations to Gifts to Headquarters will go to the GFWC Headquarters Façade Restoration and Beautification Project to restore the iconic white, front-facing exterior walls of GFWC's beloved Headquarters buildings. Over time, the brick and stonework has deteriorated and needs major repairs. This restoration will not only enhance the beauty of our Headquarters, it will also protect the historic interior spaces and collections and secure the buildings' long-term structural integrity.

Jane Cunningham Croly Gravesite Fund

Help GFWC honor our founding mother by donating to the GFWC Jane Cunningham Croly Gravesite Fund. Donations to the fund are used to maintain, repair, and beautify her gravesite in Lakewood, NJ. In 2010, thanks to your generosity, the Croly family gravesite was refurbished.

Library Replenishment Fund

The GFWC Library Replenishment Fund provides funds for restocking the collections of public- and public-school libraries that have been affected by natural and manmade disasters. Donations will be used to provide grants to affected libraries to purchase books, electronic media, and other resources.

Programs Fund

The GFWC Programs Fund offers an opportunity to donate to one of GFWC’s Special or Community Service Programs that help clubs light a path for the future and address the current and upcoming needs of its communities. Donations collected for each program will be used to fund various scholarships, educational events, speakers, webinars, and other activities that support the program.

1734 Society

Named for the GFWC Headquarters' address at historic 1734 N Street NW in Washington, DC, the 1734 Society is dedicated to preserving and maintaining the building as a National Historic Landmark. Funds donated to the 1734 Society will go toward the restoration, repair, beautification, and long-term preservation of GFWC's iconic Headquarters building.

Success for Survivors Scholarship Fund

Improve the lives of domestic violence survivors around the country by making an investment in their future. The Success For Survivors Scholarship is an annual scholarship program that was created in 2012 as part of the GFWC Signature Program: Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention. Donations to the Fund allow GFWC to provide academic scholarships to those impacted by intimate partner violence so they can pursue higher education and achieve both financial and personal independence.
