EXAMPLE ONLY

The GFWC [Your Name] Club proudly united in support of House of Ruth’s mission to end houselessness and empower survivors of domestic violence through compassionate and sustained action. Recognizing the critical need for community involvement, club members unanimously voted to host a “Scrub Away Domestic Violence” Party—an initiative aimed at collecting essential cleaning and hygiene supplies most needed by House of Ruth clients. These included laundry detergent, fabric softener, baby wipes, body soap, and other household necessities that provide comfort and dignity to families starting over.

To maximize their impact, club members mobilized 12 local businesses, neighbors, and their own families to contribute. They thoughtfully packed 400 donations into 150 new laundry baskets, transforming ordinary supplies into symbols of hope and fresh beginnings. On the GFWC International Day of Service, the club delivered these gifts to House of Ruth. More than a simple handoff, the day culminated in a powerful opportunity for connection with House of Ruth and their clients. Members sat down with survivors, listened to their courageous stories, and witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience that arise from community support.

The impact of this service extends far beyond the walls of House of Ruth. Each act of kindness strengthens the fabric of the community, breaking cycles of violence and isolation. By standing with survivors, the GFWC [Your Name] Club affirms that healing begins with solidarity, and that real change is possible when compassion is transformed into action. The club is now planning a quarterly partnership to continue supporting survivors and uplifting the vital work of House of Ruth.
