Calling all Juniorettes: Registration for the St. Jude Leadership Society is now open! St Jude Children's Research Hospital liaison Beth Perkins is offering an exclusive GFWC cohort just for our Juniorettes 13 and up. Every GFWC Juniorette Club may select ONE student to apply by October 1st, 2026. The cohort will run from October 2026 to January 2027. Each session is approximately two hours long and will be held on Sunday afternoons/evenings. This is a virtual cohort, so we ask that participants and their mentors commit to this.
Please see www.stjude.org/sjls to register and be sure to select the GFWC Cohort. The deadline is October 1, 2026. Questions? Please contact Beth Perkins at Beth.Perkins@alsac.stjude.org.
About the St Jude Leadership Society:
St. Jude Leadership Society (SJLS) features exceptional high school students from across the country who share a passion for leadership, service, and community. SJLS gives members an opportunity to give back through service and leadership by promoting and supporting the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children. There are three unique elements to the SJLS experience:
Leadership Development
Members participate in a series of leadership development sessions (four sessions, one per month) that engage a variety of successful community and corporate leaders. All session experiences are inspired by St. Jude Founder Danny Thomas and focus on universal leadership traits like good citizenship, gratitude, grit, integrity, empathy, and courage.
Shared Experience
Throughout the SJLS journey, members will have an opportunity to learn from mentors, peers, and ALSAC/St. Jude executives and partners, alike. Through their shared experience, members will gain valuable insight into a variety of career paths, improve communication, and exercise skills that will set them apart no matter what career path they choose.
Transformational Fundraising
All members will receive the tools, training, and resources they need to successfully leverage their passion, skills, and networks to build and execute a fundraising strategy. Throughout the SJLS experience, members learn how to manage a project from start to finish and will have an opportunity to apply all that is learned through their SJLS leadership development sessions. While SJLS fundraising goals start at the $5,000 level, every dollar raised funds the lifesaving research and world-class care of St. Jude.
