Each year, National Leadership Day gives us the opportunity to reflect on the qualities of leadership and celebrate the ways we inspire one another. Leadership is not only about holding office—it is about vision, service, and encouraging others. Members of GFWC epitomize leadership daily in their clubs and communities.
How can we honor this day? Begin by recognizing leaders who inspire. A note of appreciation or public acknowledgment can encourage those who serve tirelessly. Share a leadership quote or story at your club meeting, reminding members that leadership comes in many forms—mentoring new members, organizing projects, or guiding committees.
Clubs might also use February 20 to host a mini-workshop, highlight resources from the GFWC Leadership Toolkit, or encourage members to set leadership goals for the future. Even taking time to reflect on your own leadership journey makes this day meaningful.
Celebrate National Leadership Day with purpose and a commitment to lead with heart.
